Interested in forming a TMO? Free guidance and study visits now available from the NFTMO
Groups interested in tenant controlled housing can now get free introductory support from the NFTMO Resident Guide service. An experienced TMO or Co-op member will visit you to talk about the benefits and pitfalls of managing your own housing. The Resident Guide can also arrange free study visits so that your group can take a look at other TMOs and Co-ops in action.
The NFTMO Resident Guides can also; share their experiences (warts an’ all!) plug a group into a wider network of successful neighbourhood projects. help to identify and recruit suitable professional support (such as S16 Agencies) suggest and arrange training opportunities develop a ‘twinning arrangement’ between one community and another be co-opted on to your group’s committee as a mentor for a fixed period For help please contact the NFTMO Co-ordinator Trevor Bell on 01704 227053 or e-mail trevor@nftmo.com. This free support is possible because the NFTMO is now part of the national Guide Neighbourhood Project funded by the Civil Renewal Unit of the Home Office. Click here to find out more about the project by viewing the NFTMO's leaflet on resident guides (PDF). Visit the Housing Justice website for more information at http://justhousing.org.uk/regenerate
