New NFTMO Chair and Deputy Elected

The Executive Committee of the National Federation of Tenant Management Organisations (NFTMO) has elected Nick Reynolds as the new Chairperson of the Federation. Nick is the secretary of a TMO in Birmingham and has been a member of the NFTMO Executive Committee for two years.

Nick, who was one of four nominees, says he regards the appointment as an honour and is excited by his new role. “Our own TMO, the Roman Way Estate CIC , has enjoyed brilliant support from the NFTMO network so I want to give something back through my role as chair. I can promise NFTMO members that I won’t let them down.”

Roy Read has been Acting Chairperson since the death of Terry Edis last year. Roy did not seek a nomination to do the job on a permanent basis because he plans to concentrate on his role on the board of the newly formed NFTMO Terry Edis Trust. “I want to congratulate Nick and I know he will do a great job.” said Roy.

The new Deputy Chairperson is Mike Davis of PETRA TMO in East London.  He says the NFTMO is in good hands. “Anybody who attended our Annual Conference last month will have seen that we have a strong committee working hard as a team. We have some big challenges ahead. These are unusual times in housing and we will have to work hard to make sure that the TMO sector survives and expands.”
